It has been an honor to serve the community for the past three years as the Bradenton Kiwanis Foundation President. I have had the wonderful opportunity to serve during the past 40 years as a Kiwanis Club member.
I would like you to know that during the past 95 years Bradenton Kiwanis has had great impact on our community. The community and social influence made by our members through their volunteer involvement and through critical decisions made to improve the community is inspirational. The dedicated and excellent work of Kiwanis is long-term, continuous, generous, arduous and deeply meaningful.
Our vision is to develop financial support in order to increase our endowment to $20 million by the year 2022. The increased endowment will allow Bradenton Kiwanis even greater community impact. Our leaders want to continue to impact our community's most pressing needs, especially as it relates to young people.
I have taken a leadership role because I know firsthand the need and the opportunity to help make a genuine difference in the life of a young person. I am very pleased to be this Foundation's President as I am enthusiastically reminded every day of the dedication and generosity of the citizens of our great community. I invite you to join us and share our expectations as together we leave a vital legacy for our children. We are changing the world and our community one child at a time.
