Community Services
Bradenton Kiwanis volunteers positively impact the community through programs such as Kids Against Hunger, Boys and Girls Club Christmas tree sales, Salvation Army bell ringing, and an annual Veteran’s Day luncheon.
Service Leadership Programs
Our programs support the youth in our community, teaching them leadership skills from an early age and enabling them to seamlessly continue on through adulthood.
- Key Club — Bradenton Christian School and Manatee High School
- Builders Club – Braden River Middle, King Middle, Bradenton Christian & St. Joseph Catholic School
- K-Kids Club — Braden River, McNeal, Miller, Palma Sola, Palmetto, Samoset, Stewart, and Willis Elementary School.
- Aktion Club– EasterSeals and Manatee High School.
Scholarships
Scholarships are provided to graduating high school students from Manatee County to help assist with the cost of college.
Young Children Priority One
Emphasis is on prenatal to age five. Volunteers provide leadership and support to annual service projects such as childhood immunizations, Reading Pals- reading programs, and child water safety training.
Youth Services
The Bradenton Kiwanis Club provides direct support for elementary school children through funding and volunteer mentors for the Manatee Elementary Partnership School and Mentoring Program directed by the Boys and Girls Clubs of Manatee County. The club also supports other education-based programs including Kiwanis International’s BUG -Bringing Up Grades program.
